Starter Evolutions
- Chespin evolves into Quilladin.
- Fennekin evolves into Braixen.
- Froakie evolves into Frogadier.
New Pokemon
- Meowstic, has been revealed, its appearance is known to change with gender.
- Pyroar, who was revealed recently, also has a separate female form with no frontal mane, similar to real-world lions.
- Furfrou, the poodle Pokémon can change its appearance the process is called trimming. It's move Baby Doll Eyes moves first and lowers the opponents attack stat.

- Team Flare's Scientists' names:Aliana, Byrony, Celosia, Mable, and Xerosic
- Diantha, is a famous movie star from the Kalos Region. She will also trade with you throughout your adventure.
New Features
- Trainer PR allows you to construct a 10-second introduction video by telling your Trainer to do various things or show a favorite Pokémon on the screen.
- It has been confirmed that for online battles, disconnecting during a Rating Battle for any reason will result in a game loss and a loss of experience/rank. This may also hold true for non-Rating Battles, minus the loss of rank part.
- There's also a lot more revealed about customizing your Trainer.
Type Changes
- Electric type pokemon can no longer get paralysed, Moves that prevent fleeing such as mean look don't affect ghost types and grass type pokemon can no longer be seeded and are immune to moves such as sleep powder and spore.
